The Mad King's Trove

Long ago, in the dawn of the Fifth Astral Era, the modest nation of Skalla was founded in the land of Gyr Abania. Over the span of several centuries, its people constructed a grand city of stone at the bottom of a steep-walled ravine, but even this natural defense could not protect Skalla from destruction during a terrible age of war. When the great flood of the Sixth Umbral Calamity later swept across the realm, the hollow ruins of the city were lost to sight, its remnants submerged beneath a raging sea. Haunting the depths of what is now Loch Seld, Skalla's silent walls lure adventurers into the salt-laden waters with the promise of mysteries unsolved and treasures unclaimed.

Bosses

Kelpie

In this encounter, there are several abilities that players need to be aware of. The first is "Torpedo," which deals moderate damage to tanks. Another ability is "Rising Seas," which is an area-of-effect attack that affects the entire group. To avoid taking damage from "Hydro Pull," players should move away from Kelpie to avoid the outer edge damage. On the other hand, for "Hydra Push," players should move towards Kelpie to avoid the outer edge damage. "Bloody Puddle" targets players with area-of-effect attacks and tethered orbs. To avoid damage and debuffs, players should spread out the puddles and kite the orbs away. Additionally, standing in the flash outside the platform will also result in damage and debuffs.

The Old One

In the encounter, there are three abilities that the boss can use. The first ability, called Mystic Light, targets a random player with a large frontal cone attack. The second ability, called Mystic Flame, creates a large area of effect under random players in the form of a circle. The third ability, called Shifting Light, transforms players into Spriggans and grants them an action ability. Additionally, there are two rounds in the encounter. In round 1, the boss spawns 4 adds that need to be quickly defeated to prevent self-destruction. In round 2, the boss spawns 6 adds, and players will need to use their Spriggan action ability to destroy them. It is important to continuously use the action ability as needed.

Hrodric Poisontongue

During the battle, there are several moves that players need to be aware of. The first move is called Rusting Claw, where the boss raises its right arm and players should move away from the front. The next move is Tail Drive, where the boss raises its tail and players should move away from the rear. Another move is called The Spin, where the boss crouches down for a proximity area of effect attack, and players should move away. Ring of Chaos is a move where a selected player needs to move to the boss to allow the rest of the party to move to a safe area. Eye of the Fire requires players to look away from the boss to avoid confusion. Cross of Chaos is a cross-shaped area of effect attack from an affected player, and other players should stop moving to allow them to dodge. Circle of Chaos is a circle area of effect attack from an affected player, and players should move away from the party. Finally, Words of Woe is a move where the boss faces a random player for a column attack.
